  3. When I read this question, I had a flash of all of the teachers I have had in my life. Out of all of those good, bad or indifferent teachers, one teacher stood out in my mind. I would have to say that the teacher that was undoubtedly the most influential teacher that I have ever had would have to be Mr. Clausen. Mr. Clausen was a great teacher because of his ability to relate to his students; he was accepting of his students, he was not racist or biased with any of them. He was also a great teacher because he helped his students to open up and deal with real life situations and he got his students to think about sensitive issues, as well as discuss them openly with each other. Also, he was an excellent teacher because he made things interesting for his students, he truly cared, and because he shared a mutual respect with his students that most teachers could only dream of. Mr. Clausen was the most influential teacher because he has forever left a lasting impression not only with me, but also on every life that he has come into contact with, and that is something that most people will never accomplish.

  6. My 12th grade math teacher was awesome. She had a stern demeanor, but she was such a good person. I don't ever recall having another teacher that cared as much as she did.

  7. Believe it or not, it was my kindergarten teacher, Miss Mixon! I have recently tried to find her, but have had no luck:(

I connected with her I suppose because she comforted me when I was sad about my Mom leaving me on day one lol

I stayed in touch with her until about 4th grade..My Granny would make/buy things for me to gift to her and I'd send her snail mail postcards & letters! She was a very special teacher to me!!

  14. I can't really remember any teacher sticking out as a big influence. That's pretty sad. I do remember having a wonderful girl scout leader who influenced me a lot.

  18. The most influential teacher in my life was my Aunt Jeanie Swain. I took seminary classes(Bible/scripture study) in highschool and she was the teacher. I have never learned so much and felt the Spirit so strong. It really strengthened my testimony of the Savior, Jesus Christ. She was an amazing lady that just passed away from cancer this past March :( She'll never be forgotten.

  19. My most influential teacher in school was my high school english teacher Mr. Stork. He had such an easy going way with his classes, great book choices and was always engaged in the class. He never gave lectures but had 'conversations' with us about our reading and related the themes of books to our real like. It really gave me a love of reading and sharing which I have passed on to my kids.
